Questione di ore, forse meno! Cosa conterrà di bello l'update odierno di RaceRoom Racing Experience?
Le novità principali sono essenzialmente due: un nuovo sistema di Force Feedback e.... il tanto atteso "Green Hell" Nordschleife!

• Nuovo sistema Force Feedback

A grande richiesta da parte della community il sistema di Force Feedback verrà aggiornato, queste le principali modifiche:

FFB Meter: permetterà di regolare in modo appropriato la il ritorno di forza del volante. Grazie ad un apposito grafico, sarà possibile capire se si è impostato una forza troppo alta o troppo bassa. Una linea gialla indicherà la forza minima del volante, una linea rossa invece indicherà la forza massima. Se durante la guida la linea verde oltrepassa quella rossa significa che è presente del “clipping”, cioè il volante non riesce a gestire tutte le informazioni trasmesse dall’auto e dall’asfalto, ed in questo caso bisogna diminuire la forza sul feedback.

Forza minima: permetterà di amplificare tutte le piccole sensazioni che non tutti i volanti sono in grado di trasmettere in maniera ottimale. La regolazione di questo parametro permetterà di eliminare l’effetto zona morta.

Effetto slip: servirà a sentire meglio la quantità di grip degli pneumatici sull’asfalto durante il pattinamento, il sottosterzo o durante una frenata violenta.

Stationary Friction: elimina il problema delle ruote che girano sole a vettura ferma, ad esempio nel garage o sulla griglia di partenza.

Profilo FFB specifico: sarà possibile settare e conservare un profilo FFB specifico per ogni singola vettura.

NB: i possessori di volanti Logitech dovranno aggiornare i drivers dei propri dispositivi affinchè le modifiche funzionino correttamente (attenzione nello scegliere quelli corretti per il vostro OS e volante).

• Il Nordschleife

Interamente realizzato in laserscan: Sector3 Studios, per la realizzazione del proprio "Green Hell" ha potuto beneficiare della telemetria ufficiale delle sospensioni fornita dai propri partners. E' stato così possibile realizzare una superficie di guida altamente accurata. Il Nordschleife conterrà ben 4 layout differenti: Nordschleife, Nordschleife Tourist, Nordschleife VLN e 24h Nordschleife.

Due to car physics changes, it is advised to reset Car Setups and Steering Settings to their default values.

Due to the downshift prevention implementation we have cleared all the leaderboards.

Game:

Added new content that will be released very soon. (ndr DTM 2015 now on sale!!!)

Downshift prevention logic implemented. Sequential gearbox will refuse to downshift if revs are going to end up above the limiter. H-Pattern gearbox will try and engage the gear and fail until revs are lower.

Tyres of the DTM 2015 cars will pick up Dirt & Gravel when driving off-track, reducing grip on the

R3E: Spa-Francorchamps

You have been waiting for it for a long time.

Now we are proud to announce that the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps will be available in R3E this week!​ The 7 km long track is located in the Belgian Ardennes countryside, where it used to serve as public road.

Over the years it has hosted many Racing Series including F1, WEC, Blancpain Endurance Series, GT Masters, WTCC & DTM. The annual Highlights being the 1000km and the 24H Race.

It features the most famous corner in Motorsport. The "Eau Rouge", which translates to "Red Water", named after a river close to the circuit.

The circuit probably demonstrates the importance of driver skill more than any other in the world.

This is largely due to the Eau Rouge and Blanchimont corners, both which need to be taken flat out to

This week we have received feedback from the community about the "50% off everything" flash sale that was running from Monday through to Tuesday evening. As it turned out the image and text used to promote this big thank you sale created the assumption that the popular content packs would receive a "double discount" . Nurburgring comparison AC-R3E

Cosa dire di questo RaceRoom Experience ripreso in mano dopo quasi un anno che "non ci si frequentava" più?

Che mi ha spiazzato! Ecco cosa dire. Mi accingevo ad un approccio del tipo scarica-prova-cestina... ed invece ho finito con l'acquistare il pacchetto ADAC GT-Masters. In realtà continuo ad interrogarmi sul mio stato di sanità mentale anche mentre scrivo, ma a liquidare il tutto con "è una schifezza", per quanto faccia tendenza, non sarei affatto onesto. Ovviamente il comparto grafico non è quello di AC, le piste non sono il LaserScan... però le vetture su pista si comportano davvero bene, in maniera verosimile, rispondendo ad ogni sollecitazione e restituiscono un feedback che non disprezzo affatto, anzi: mi piace!

In fin dei conti, a livello meramente personale, sono pure contento di poter aggiungere un titolo al "giro" di simulatori che "frequento", mi piace la possibilità di poter variare la mia esperienza di simdriver, anche se alla fine è inevitabile che focalizzerò maggiormente l'attenzione su una ip piuttosto che sulle altre: l'importante, come sempre, è avere quanta più alternative valide.

RR Racing Experience SaleenS7R RR Raceway track alt layout

Ed ecco provato il nuovo RaceRoom Racing Experience dei SimBin! Graficamente di altissimo livello e con la ormai stra-collaudata fisica dei prodotti derivati in qualche maniera da quel Race07 che venne, appunto, rilasciato il 12 ottobre 2007 dalla software house svedese. Il gioco può essere scaricato gratuitamente in versione Teaser da Steam (si tratta comunque di un free-to-play come RaceRoom The Game 2): attualmente sarà possibile prendere il controllo soltanto della Saleen S7R mostrata da questo video e di una Aquila CR1 Sports GT, da spingere al massimo sul circuito RaceRoom Raceway (in 2 varianti) appositamente creato per questo prodotto, la cui versione completa è attualment ein closed beta.
